This cafe primarily attracts local families and dog owners, making it a lively yet relaxed space where parents can enjoy well-made coffee while their little ones explore the dedicated toy corner. The atmosphere is casual and warm, with plenty of natural light enhancing the airy interior.

The menu focuses on classic café staples, with particularly solid choices like toasted paninis and hearty toasties that pair well with a traditional cappuccino or a smoother matcha latte. For those coming with kids, the selection of pancakes and waffles, often enjoyed with ice cream, provides a simple but satisfying treat that keeps youngsters happy. The staff’s friendliness extends to four-legged visitors too, with dog treats and "puppuccinos" offered freely, creating an inclusive vibe for dog walkers who drop in, especially in the mornings.

Cafe Elm hosted a superb birthday party for my 6 year old daughter. It was an adopt a puppy party with loads of well thought out craft items. The food was perfect including a really cool ice cream and pancake bar. There was space and time for everyone to do their own thing and so all the girls had a lovely time. It was a stress free parent experience and great value for money. Thank you Cafe Elm.

Such a cozy little cafe! Super dog-friendly. They gave my dog treats and a puppuccino, and he didn’t want to leave. Staff were really friendly. We used to walk past in the late evenings when it was closed, but now we come in the mornings and will definitely be regulars.

Love the fact this cafe is at the end of my road. Tasty bacon baps ( with properly cooked bacon), great coffee and the cakes are to die for. My kids love the pancakes/waffles and ice cream. The cafe itself is lovely and bright and kids toy corner is an added bonus. Leanne and Julie are great hosts and nothing is ever too much trouble

Came to Gloucester and needed to lunch for a little one. This place is beyond perfect, if you have young children or want to have coffee/ food with a friends. It is light, welcoming and everything you want from a small independent cafe. Great coffee, delicious food and a great lunch box for a 2 year old. The kids corner is bursting with fun and varied toys and activities. Couldnt recommend this place enough, next time we're in Gloucester this is the first place on the list!

Cafe Elm is such a lovely place to visit with toddlers and children. We recently had our daughter’s 2nd birthday party here and it was such a well hosted event, with great food and drinks too. Would thoroughly recommend.

We recently visited Cafe Elm for the valentines afternoon tea. The selection was impressive, with a variety of finger sandwiches, scones, and cakes. The food was freshly prepared and homemade, delicious. I particularly enjoyed the unlimited Prosecco and rocky road. My mum and sister in-law enjoyed unlimited tea the selection was also excellent, with a range of options to suit every taste. Leanne was very welcoming from start to finish, they have a play corner where my daughter and neice enjoyed making their own cakes and tea. Cafe Elm had a range of colouring avaliable too. Nothing was to much for the leanne and her team. We will definitely be coming back

Me and my daughters love coming to cafe elm, not only because it’s great for kids but it’s also amazing if you’re gluten free. We decided to book a spa party for my eldest daughter’s 7th birthday and it was honestly better than I could have imagined. Leanne is so lovely and accommodating, the set up was fab and the kids had a great time and enjoyed being pampered by the amazing staff. The food was great and the kids especially loved the pancakes. Would definitely recommend for any girl looking for a spa party.
